Question by joe: Why do laptops get so hot in the bottom? What is the use of calling it “laptop” then?
It gets so hot you can’t put it on your lap. So then why do they call it “laptop”. And is there any laptop that stays cold in the bottom?

Its called a laptop, as opposed to a desktop, because its portable and small enough to fit on your lap. Its hot on the bottom, because the fans direct heat away from your computer, keeping it from overheating. Its directed down because its probably more out of the way than if it was blowing up towards you.
As for keeping it cold, you could leave it off……
